To Achieve or to Awake

For a good couple of years in my life I was completely focused on what I had to achieve.

Many would consider this to be a good trait; to be able to focus on a goal and pursue it! For me it was a burden since once you feel you ‘have’ to achieve something in life, the fun aspect of it is nearly instantaneously taken away.

This was when I realised I was focusing on the wrong things and I was making priorities that were not true to my heart. This is possibly the moment one can say they feel lost. At least that was how I felt.

The confusion of realising you’re in the wrong path and to not quite understand what really fulfils you can be overwhelming at times. But I can confidently say that this was the best realisation I ever had.

It is like being uncomfortably numb for years and years and suddenly have a big bucket of ice cold water thrown over your head and after the shock you feel alive, you feel again!

When in Difficult Times

One little man said with tears in his eyes – ‘Why me?’

To which the voice replied – ‘Because you can.’

There are times in life when we feel we can’t cope with what life has thrown at us. It doesn’t seem fair. It is a good time to learn about ourselves, our weaknesses and our strengths. Above all, to learn to accept and to resign.  Continue reading

A Change in Perspective

There is a time, I’m not quite sure when, that we start viewing the world with a different perspective.

I can’t quite pinpoint the exact moment when things start to change, but i believe it happens to everyone.

Now, my question is, does this change of perspective automatically mean a change of attitude? Does it change the way we choose to live our lives? Does it change the world as we know it?

The answer is possibly, not. You see, we live our lives in such a way that we end up constantly battling our inner selves desperate to fit in with our external reality.

We live in a world in which we prioritize the invaluable and compromise the most important things in our existence. Continue reading
