There is a time, I’m not quite sure when, that we start viewing the world with a different perspective.
I can’t quite pinpoint the exact moment when things start to change, but i believe it happens to everyone.
Now, my question is, does this change of perspective automatically mean a change of attitude? Does it change the way we choose to live our lives? Does it change the world as we know it?
The answer is possibly, not. You see, we live our lives in such a way that we end up constantly battling our inner selves desperate to fit in with our external reality.
We live in a world in which we prioritize the invaluable and compromise the most important things in our existence.
If we start from the point of view that our existence as a whole is so brief; that at the end of all this we really don’t understand our purpose – if any; and that one day soon we may depart from this world forever; it is easy to believe that perhaps the world is mad.
We have created a society that drains our essence in order to make us fit in; to a point that every unique aspect of ourselves is buried in so deep that you can’t even remember them.
I would like to propose a change, to put an end to all this madness; but if I may be honest, I wouldn’t know where to start, or what to do.
As it turns out, it is far easier to hide in a shell and protect your inner treasure as much as you can. We can paint the outside walls and label it whatever society demands; which may change from time to time.
So hold on to your strength in order to adapt and hope the current is not strong enough to wash it all away.
